MY SECOND MOST ASKED QUESTION: WHAT SUPPLEMENTS DO I TAKE AND WHAT PRODUCTS DO I USE FOR HOME AND PE


So yesterday I posted a video answer to one of my most asked questions: How Do I Maintain My Healthy Eating Habits Over Time? And today I am posting a video answer to what is probably one of my second most asked questions: What Supplements Do I Take Daily And What Products Do I Use For Home And Personal Care?

What works best for me is to order all of my supplements, cleaning and personal care products on-line about every fourth month; I usually take an inventory of what I have on hand at about the 3.5 month mark and generate a list from there. I generally order through Amazon, National Nutrition and J.R. Watkins.

Where you choose to order from, the method you choose (on-line or in-store) and the products you choose are all individual choices and you may have to "trial" a few products until you find your own favourites... what is most important is that you are reading the ingredient list and labels carefully, avoiding any unwanted toxins/chemicals etc. Here's a list of what I watch for and attempt to avoid:

  • Bleach

  • Dyes

  • Ammonia

  • Phosphates

  • Fluoride

  • Sodium Lauryl Sulfate

  • Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate

  • ... and other chemicals (if you are reading ingredients on the label that you have difficulty pronouncing and you aren't sure what they are do a little research prior to making a decision to purchase the product)

When looking for a good quality supplement look for a whole foods, natural based product with non-GMO ingredients, I take the following daily:

Multi + Complete (Genuine Health)

Calcium and Magnesium + Vitamin D (SISU)

DHA (Nordic Naturals)
